Michael Payne gave a presentation on how this non-profit is uniting people who own bicycles to make Houston more bicycle friendly. He discussed how people are joining as members and volunteering with their organization to help develop a Bicycle Master Plan and ultimately deliver a network of safe bikeways across the city. BikeHouston Executive Director, Michael Payne, gave an interesting, passionate presentation during our Lunch and Learn last Tuesday. Seen the fact that the group was smaller than the former lunch and learns we could all join Michael Payne at the same table which created a very interactive, pleasant and intimate atmosphere. Definitely something to keep in mind for our future lunches!
Seen at the table in the boardroom of The Houston Club among many others: our friends from the Danish Chamber Thomas Damsgaard and Danielle Mirabal, and new corporate member Folkert Lamsvelt from PON. We were very pleased to have them as our table guests.
For your information: There won’t be a lunch and learn in May unfortunately, as the Chamber has a very busy schedule that month with an OTC reception, May 5th , a book presentation by Dutch author Mark Zegeling May 20th and a social mixer with the German Chamber May 28th, but we’ll be back in June with a lunch about cyber security!
